Who will shout from the mountain top and declare that it is not rocket science to have a very clean drainage system in Kenya? Who will tell the government both at County and National level that we have all it takes to have a clean environment? We all know how the drainage systems in our country gets especially during the rainy season. Surprisingly, this environmental menace is the cheapest and the easiest to solve. Other cities across the globe have done it so it is doable.  In the comment section below, I would like to know which of the following things are not accessible in our country: 1. Drainage pipes 2. Strong nets 3. Garbage trucks 4. Waste segregation techniques  5. The capacity Let's take a quick look at what has been going on in the city Kwinana in Australia.  In the summer of 2018, the relevant authorities installed a filtration system in the Henley Reserve. This limits the sustainability of resources to our future.  Overpopulation and advancement in technology has led to the increase of waste generation. People have become more consumer oriented and will dispose waste they produce without acknowledging the dangers it imposes. Major world disasters happening today eg the Australia wild fires are happening due to our negligence to conserve Nature.  Some of the strategies we can use to minimise waste is by recycling used bottles and plastic bags, composting kitchen remains into nutrients rich in soils for quality agricultural produce, reusing old shopping bags and bottles. Always be helpful in providing information on our ...
